Purpose of W C B   N E

The main purpose of placing a child or young person with the staff team at W C B   N E is to support a child in crisis who needs an emergency provision. W C B   N E will support them to grow and develop emotionally, physically, developmentally, and academically. We will ensure they live a life of dignity, inclusion, and enjoyment for interim time we support them, with a vision to transition them on to registered provision.

Children and young people can often require additional support and care to keep them safe. W C B   N E can provide this for children and young people with various staffing ratios depending on needs. This will be provided 24 hours per day to ensure that children and young people have continuity of support throughout the day. W C B   N E is a safe and loving organisation with a team of experienced professionals who will prioritise the needs of the child or young person.

W C B   N E will be able to provide emergency support for a child or young person in crisis with the immediate need of support. However, this is subject to a satisfactory initial assessment and clear and concise evidence that we can meet all the needs of the child or young person. An emergency placement for any child or young person will be considered providing an assessment of needs is completed by the Team Manager to gain agreement that W C B   N E is able to meet the immediate needs of the child or young person.
