W C B   N E believes that every child or young person is unique and that their time with W C B   N E should be a positive experience. We feel this is best achieved within a safe and stimulating atmosphere. Transition into a new environment can be a difficult period therefore having a suitably qualified workforce will support and provide a safe, caring, and consistent environment.

We ensure that children's and young people's individual care plans include the voice of the child, and their views, wishes and feelings are prevalent throughout. Children's care plans are specific to the child and their own needs. We are responsive to the needs of the child and provide support for growth and development in a variety of areas such as education, personal identity and family/social support. Our personalised approach to learning will help to support a nurturing and supportive environment that will allow children and young people to prepare them individually for adulthood.

At W C B   N E we will carefully select a team that allows us to support all genders, age, and ethnic backgrounds. This provides diversity and supports positive role models for the child or young person. It is our duty of care to ensure that all children and young people supported by us are protected from abuse and neglect. All staff have been recruited adhering to the safer recruitment guidelines and have suitable knowledge and or experience for the position they are upholding. All staff will be supported by management and given opportunities to develop professionally through training, regular supervisions, development days, annual appraisals, reflective practice and one to one discussion.
